Seven years accompanying travellers from the shores of Lake Chapala.
Our story
Lago Travel Services — or just Lago Travel, as half of Lakeside calls us — was born in Ajijic, a Pueblo Mágico on the shore of Lake Chapala, with a simple idea: that planning a journey should not have to be a solitary errand in front of a screen. In seven years we have become a point of reference for tourism in the region, and we got there by the slowest and most solid route there is: one happy client telling another.
Today we organise guided tours across every continent, holiday packages and journeys designed from scratch, for families, couples, schools and companies from the lakeside and from Guadalajara. We work in Spanish and in English, because a good part of our community arrived in Ajijic from another country and deserves exactly the same clarity.
What has not changed is the office. It is still on Carretera Oriente, with the door open, and that is where you can sit down and go through your itinerary with the person who wrote it.
Our guiding idea
We do not sell trips. We design journeys you can count on.
It is the sentence we measure everything against. If a proposal only communicates a destination and a price, it is not doing its job.

Mission
To design tailor-made journeys and to accompany each person from beginning to end — from the first question until they are back home — with honest advice, close personal attention and the backing of a regulated agency. We work from a real office in Ajijic so that travelling is, above all, a decision made with certainty.
Vision
To be the reference travel agency for the Lake Chapala region and western Mexico: the one recommended by word of mouth because it answers, it resolves and it accompanies; known for the quality of the experience it designs rather than for the price it advertises.
Our values
Behind every journey there is a person who knows the destination. We give you the honest recommendation, even when it means selling you less today.
We exist in a physical place, with opening hours and a name on the door. What is promised in the office is confirmed in writing.
A member agency of AMAV and registered with Mexico's Ministry of Tourism. Contract, tax invoice and insurance; never a verbal arrangement.
First we explain what your journey includes, then what it costs. The value lies in being accompanied the whole way.
Who we serve
Each one has its own rhythm, its own language and its own internal process.

They travel often and value being dealt with in person. We look after them in English too, with exactly the same clarity.
Before price, they are buying safety, protocol and formality. We hand over the complete file before departure.
They need flawless logistics and a single point of contact. One named person, from the quote to the invoice.
How we work
Step 1
You tell us where you want to go, with whom, when and on what budget. If you are not yet sure, that works too.
Step 2
You receive a formal quote in PDF with two or three real options and exactly what each one includes, point by point.
Step 3
We hold the places with a deposit so you can decide calmly. A payment plan if you need one, and a contract in every case.
Step 4
Documents, reminders and a contact available while you are away. The follow-up does not end when you take off.
